In this article we will review The Four Loves by Clive Lewis.
Book Plot
“The Four Loves” is a non-fiction book by C.S. Lewis that explores the nature of love from a Christian perspective. Lewis divides love into four categories: Affection, Friendship, Eros, and Charity. He argues that each of these loves has its own unique characteristics and that they are all necessary for a fulfilling life. Affection is the love between family members and close friends. Friendship is the love between equals who share common interests and values. Eros is the romantic love between two people. Charity is the love that God has for humanity and that humans should have for one another. Lewis argues that each of these loves can be either good or bad, depending on how they are expressed. The book explores the nature of love and its role in human life, and it offers insights into how to cultivate healthy and fulfilling relationships.

The Four Loves Review
Every time I read a book by Lewis, I wonder why I bother reading anything else until I have read everything he has written. He has a unique way of expressing complex ideas in a simple manner, which only a true genius can do. I highly recommend “The Four Loves” to anyone who has experienced love. I found myself discussing affection, friendship, Eros, and charity with my husband while reading it. This book would be beneficial for teenagers entering dating or adulthood, as well as for discussion groups of all ages. There is a lot to ponder and discuss about how these different types of love manifest in our daily lives.
