Out of the Silent Planet Review
To begin with, this book has an intriguing title that evokes a sense of mystery and drama. The author, C.S. Lewis, is known for his skill in writing allegories, and this book is compared to his famous work, The Chronicles of Narnia. The story follows a man named Ransom who is abducted by two professors and taken to a planet called Malacandra (Mars). While the descriptive passages in the book can be overly embellished, the dialogue is where Lewis excels. Despite some slow parts in the beginning, the allegorical themes become more apparent as the story progresses.
